The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) is where mechanical royalties from digital streaming and downloads get claimed. This service makes sure your work is properly registered — or claimed — so those royalties have a place to land.

WHAT WE'LL DO

We'll check The MLC database for an existing work and register or claim the appropriate work information based on the results.

  • Existing work and share review
  • Recording information, when applicable

NOTE: Before we can register your works with The MLC, you must already be affiliated with a Performance Rights Organization (PRO) — think ASCAP or BMI. This registration process requires IPI numbers for the Writers and Publishers associated with your works.

Estimated 1–3 business days after all required information and materials have been received.
